General

Zoocx is an AI checkout assistant for Shopify stores. It adds a chat widget to your storefront that helps shoppers discover products, get personalized recommendations, add items to cart, and complete checkout — all through conversation. Every AI-assisted purchase is tracked with revenue attribution.

Zoocx works with every Shopify theme. It uses Shopify’s Theme App Extension system, which is compatible with all Online Store 2.0 themes and most vintage themes.
No. Zoocx uses a Theme App Extension, which is Shopify’s recommended way to add functionality without touching your theme code. You can enable or disable it from the Shopify theme editor at any time.

AI & Chat

Zoocx uses Claude AI (by Anthropic) to understand shopper questions and provide helpful responses. It syncs your entire product catalog and store policies, then uses retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to answer questions grounded in your actual store data — not generic information.
Shoppers can ask about products (“Do you have winter jackets under $100?”), get recommendations (“What’s a good gift for a runner?”), check compatibility (“Will this case fit an iPhone 15?”), ask about shipping and returns, compare products, and add items to their cart directly from the chat.
The merchant dashboard supports English, French, and German. The storefront chat widget responds in English. Multi-language chat support is on our roadmap.
No. Zoocx has built-in policy guardrails that block unauthorized discount offers, prevent delivery date guarantees, and require policy citations for claims. All responses are grounded in your actual store data and policies.
If the AI can’t confidently answer a question, it asks a clarifying question rather than guessing. For topics outside its scope (like order status), it directs shoppers to contact your support team.
Nudges are proactive messages the chat widget can display based on shopper behavior — for example, if a shopper has been idle on a product page, has items in their cart but hasn’t checked out, or is about to leave the page. The Free plan includes 3 nudge types; Pro includes all types with customizable templates.

Zoocx offers a Free plan with 100 AI chat sessions per month and a Pro plan at $79/month with 5,000 sessions, cart recovery, and advanced analytics. Enterprise plans with unlimited sessions and dedicated support are available — contact us for pricing.
The Free plan includes: AI chat assistant on your storefront, product discovery and recommendations, 3 behavior-triggered nudges, basic funnel analytics, and up to 100 AI chat sessions per month. No credit card required.
When you upgrade to Pro, you get a 7-day free trial. No credit card is required upfront — billing starts through Shopify after the trial period. You can cancel anytime during the trial at no cost.
A session starts when a shopper opens the chat widget and ends when they close it or after 30 minutes of inactivity. Multiple messages within the same conversation count as one session.
Zoocx never hard-stops your customers. When you approach your limit, AI responses gracefully downgrade: the AI switches to a lighter model at 100% usage, and to template-based responses above 120%. Your customers always get help — quality just scales with your plan.
Yes. Plan changes take effect immediately through Shopify billing. When you upgrade, you get instant access to new features. When you downgrade, changes apply at the next billing cycle.
All billing is handled through Shopify’s standard billing system. Plans auto-renew monthly. You can cancel or change plans at any time from your Shopify admin. We never charge your credit card directly.

Data & Privacy

Zoocx reads your product catalog (titles, descriptions, prices, variants, images), order data (for revenue attribution), and store policies (shipping, returns, privacy). We use read-only Shopify API scopes — we cannot modify your products, orders, or store settings.
Zoocx only collects a customer’s email address when the customer explicitly provides it and checks the consent box for cart recovery. We do not access your Shopify customer database, and we do not collect or store any personal information without explicit consent.
When a shopper provides their email with consent, and later abandons their cart, Zoocx can send a single recovery email after a configurable delay (default 30 minutes). This is opt-in only, CAN-SPAM compliant, and includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Cart recovery is a Pro plan feature.
We follow Shopify’s data protection requirements. When you uninstall, we delete all session data, event logs, and customer information within 48 hours. Order attribution data is anonymized per GDPR requirements.
Yes. Zoocx supports all three mandatory Shopify GDPR webhooks (customer data request, customer data erasure, shop data erasure). Customer emails are encrypted at rest. Consent records include timestamps for audit purposes. Data subject requests are processed within 30 days.
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Webhook payloads are verified using HMAC-SHA256. Session tokens use JWT authentication. We follow OWASP security best practices. Customer emails are encrypted using Fernet (AES-128-CBC + HMAC-SHA256).

Cart Recovery (Pro)

When a shopper provides their email (with explicit consent), adds products to their cart, and leaves without completing checkout, Zoocx sends a recovery email after a configurable delay. The email includes the products they were interested in and a link back to your store.
Yes, always. Zoocx uses a consent-first approach — recovery emails are only sent to customers who explicitly provided their email and checked the consent box. This is required by design, not optional.
The default delay is 30 minutes after cart abandonment. This is configurable in your merchant dashboard. Only one recovery email is sent per session to avoid being intrusive.
Yes. Every recovery email includes a one-click unsubscribe link that is cryptographically signed for security. Unsubscribing is immediate and permanent for that email address.
